9/11 Paper - Critical Thinking
Artifact 1
In Global Studies I completed the 9/11 paper, which required me to write a well thought out paper on 9/11. Basically, on the war between Palestine and Israel, how Al-Qaeda was formed, who Osama Bin Laden was and the causes/effects of September 11th. This was an opportunity for me to practice my Critical thinking skills, because I learned, I researched, and studied the night before. For Critical Thinking, you need to be sure you are using your brain and thinking thing out, and using resources around you to think critically. While I did a good job with this because I have well explained causes. I need to improve in the area of including ALL information. I can achieve this by studying more and paying more attention in class!

The story of September 11th
Once upon a time there was a War named WW2 where many thousands/millions of Jewish people were killed and sent to concentration camps and were tortured/injured/killed. America felt guilty about the fact that they couldn’t stop this and made a country for them called Israel. However, part of Israel was part of Palestine which is where Arabs also live. From then on, Palestine and Israel (with America's alliance) were always enemies. The U.S.A also always sided with whatever country seemed to fight Palestine, according to the middle east. America helped the Russian atrocities in Chechnya, the Indian oppression in Kashmir, and the Jewish aggression in Lebanon. There was a 6 day war between Palestine and Israel and with the help of Israel’s American allies the jews won. Then again, there was another war and Israel won again. Osama Bin Laden (the leader of Al-Qaeda) thought that America is always against the country and don’t follow proper rules. He feels that everyone in America should believe in the Islamic God, Allah. Homosexuality, and others are sins, and everyone should follow the Quran.
Until one day, Bin Laden decides to attack America. He brings in 19 people from the Middle East and they all learn how to hijack planes, and shoot, and attack.
And because of that, Al-Qaeda hijacks four American Airlines airplanes. People on the plane are very afraid and some call their loved ones telling them they love them.
And because of that, Two planes crashed into the Twins Towers killing and injuring thousands of people both in the building, on the plane, and the hijackers themselves.
And because of that, one plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania killing all on the plane, there were no survivors. One plane was crashed into the Pentagon, and many were killed. When planes were crashed into the Twin Towers, there was smoke billowing out the windows, pieces of the plane and the building falling to the ground, people jumping from the tops, complete chaos everywhere. When the plane was crashed into the Pentagon, smoke was coming out the windows, nothing to be seen, all passengers killed most likely.
Until finally, America came to chaos realizing what had happened. Loved ones of the victims didn’t know what to do, but mourn.
Ever since then, people have been afraid to fly in airplanes due to being afraid of what could happen at any moment. Airport security has tightened dramatically to make sure everyone stays safe. In place of the Twin Towers, a memorial was built for all the victims in the crashes and millions go there everyday.
Ever since then, America has never been the same and still fighting with the Middle East.
